About Me
Professional:
My name is Kathleen (Hogan) Boothe and I am currently the Special Education Program Coordinator and Associate Professor at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, OK. Prior to taking this position I was a Behavior Specialist (2014-2015) and Assistant Professor of Special Education at Augusta University (2010-2014) in Augusta, GA.
My K-12 teaching experience includes being a paraprofessional in a self-contained classroom for elementary students with emotional and behavioral disorders. I was also a classroom teacher for 6 years in a self-contained classroom for students with emotional and behavioral disorders at both the elementary and middle school levels.
I have presented several professional development sessions on universal design for learning (UDL) and classroom management to local school districts. In addition to professional development for local school districts, I enjoy presenting at state, national, and international conferences. I am also a contributing member to the Council for Exceptional Children.

I married my best friend on May 20, 2017. We currently reside in Chandler, AZ with our cat (Zoey) and our dog (Zeus). We enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends.
